Both the factory cable and an aftermarket cable do this. I’ll get a new one to see if it resolves it. Likely the cable. Ive had this issue before and a new cable solved the problem. Rust on the cable connectors. Clean it up with sharp something (I use some random key). TL;DR version: As of recently (though before the latest v7.6 firmware upgrade) Fenix 5 Plus now takes significantly longer to power on (minutes as opposed to seconds) with the screen displaying “Loading Maps” for most of that time - this has been going on for a number of weeks, have been meaning to investigate.
Had the same issue on my Fenix 5+, would still be uncharged after being plugged in overnight, and finally would only charge if wrapped the cable around the watch and held it in a very specific way with a fold back clip. Obviously, wasn’t a tenable situation.
