Sell to make profit: Sell each type of horse to the city while still āin the greenā (still making money on the trade). End transaction. Decrease prices: Sell all remaining horses to the city to reduce the price (The more horses you sell the lower the price will be for the next round and the more profits you will make). If you need money, try smithing. Trade takes time so i don't do it. Quest gives some money if you stack them and do them on peace time. On war time, best thing is to fight lords, sell prisoners and loot. 1 lord with 100 units can give you 10k denars. Raid villages or join a siege defense.
7- As you travel around (prior to point 6, and after point 6) make sure you buy ALL DAGGERS, and Tribal Throwing Knives. (pugio, seax, falx knive etc). 8- Sometimes you don't have enough money at start to do #7 but keep it in mind. 9- Whenever you fight a troop, don't sell their weapons.
You gotta gain that influence. I make my money from war, and when the war ends Iāll improve my fiefs, and attack bandits. Once Iām low on funds Iāll use my influence to encourage my nation to start another war. Join an army, destroy the enemy, and enjoy the loot. Iāll get around 150,000+denars by the time the war ends.
The most cost effective ones are usually the Midland Palfrey & Steppe Horse. Bonus tip: when adding horses to your inventory, you can check the impact on your party speed in real-time by looking at the icon on the bottom right. If you hover over it for details, you will notice the "Footmen using mounts" bonus.
